John Konefes, IWRC Director

Mr. Konefes is responsible for coordinating and administering IWRC activities in STAR4D, as well as budget issues. He has been the director of the IWRC since its inception in 1987, and is responsible for creating many of the innovative programs and funding new initiatives for small business pollution prevention.

 
RICK

Rick Klein, STAR4D Program Manger

Rick provides technical assistance to military facilities and conducts research and demonstration projects to assist Department of Defense painting facilities. Rick maintains the communication between military bases and works towards continued funding for the STAR4D program.

 
JOE

Joe Bolick, Process Research Reduction & Education Specialist

Joe is involved with conducting STAR4D training and in developing curriculum. He also aids selected STAR4D training activities including the virtual reality painter training system as well as travels throughout the nation to promote IWRC programs and products.

 
TOM

Tom Giblin, Research Technician

Tom assists with the painter training course for STAR4D military painting programs and performs on-site visits to military bases all over the United States to train painters in proper painting techniques and equipment selection. Tom has over 30 years of experience with industrial painting.

 
CHRIS

Chris Lampe, Process Research Reduction & Education Specialist

As lead trainer, Chris coordinates training activities and organizes outreach to various military installations. He oversees the hands-on and classroom training activities and is also involved with the investigation into the effectiveness of water borne coatings and assists the military in implementing them into use as a replacement for solvent borne coatings.

Jeremiah Treloar, Process Research Reduction & Education Specialist

Jeremiah is heavily involved with training curriculum development as well as painter training instruction with STAR4D and the lead VirtualPaint instructor. He also was the project manager for the development of I.C.A.R.C., a game-based training program focusing on the knowledge and use of CARC.

 
JOHN

John Whiting, Waste Reduction Education/Research Specialist

John provides his painting expertise as a resource to STAR4D activities. He has over 20 years of painting experience with auto body operations and industrial painting. Mr. Whiting has been with IWRC since 1997, and has degrees in Industrial Trades and Automotive Repair.
